Tour de Yorkshire

Queensbury welcomes the Tour de Yorkshire

On 30 April 2017 Stage 3 of the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race will be coming down the Brighouse/Denholme Rd straight through our village! We want to give them a right good Yorkshire welcome, with painted and decorated bikes along the route and in the High Street.

Tour de Yorkshire Mini-Taster; the 3 Cotes cycle ride – Saturday 1 April

This challenging 35 mile ride covers the local section of Stage 3 of the Tour de Yorkshire, including 3 tough climbs (“Cotes”) – Howarth Main Street, Leeming, and Shibden Wall. Unlike the pros though, you will have 6 hours to complete it, so plenty of time to walk up the steep bits!
